Cold and heat are natural conditions that we often live with discomfort and suffering, yet mankind, like other animals and plants, has since time immemorial developed the ability to live with them and consider them elements of nature, this information is inscribed in our DNA .

In our society, with technological development, we have become accustomed to living in hyper-heated or air-conditioned environments, resulting in an excessive use of energy sources and dozing our natural ability to adapt to climatic conditions. This produces a greater ecological imbalance at the social level and greater vulnerability to diseases at the individual level.

Giovanni Guerra has developed some techniques that allow him to live in the Ossola Valley without heating the house and without covering himself excessively, he no longer feels the need. The key point is to change the mental approach or not to consider cold or heat as an enemy to fight, but a friend to welcome. It is a path of self-knowledge, of awakening one's ancient cellular memories, through which one realizes that the suggested techniques, once the “trick” has been discovered, can be applied to any situation in life. The book tells this personal journey in the form of a fantastic narrative, but not so much.

To accompany the various chapters the paintings by Stefano Maestrini, which reinforce with the image what is evoked in our mind.
